THE PROGRAMMES

Expanding Taylor Bennett Foundation’s award-winning PR Training Programme

The Training programme is a full-time training course in Public Relations (PR) and Communications, designed to equip participants with the relevant knowledge, insights and skills to work in the PR and corporate communications industry.

The training programme is designed to directly address the need for greater ethnic diversity in the Public Relations (PR) and Communications industry and is open to graduates from a black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) background.

Pre-entry training bursaries

Applications will be accepted once per year, with candidates able to seek support with course fees for partner universities to study a PR qualification, travel and living costs, and additional expenses connected with specific needs such as disabilities (where applicable).

All applicants go through an initial short-listing process, with submissions considered by a panel of industry professionals and The Taylor Bennett Foundation board of Trustees. Short-listed candidates are then interviewed by a further panel of senior PRs, which will make recommendations to Taylor Bennett Foundation as to whether a bursary should be awarded.

Candidates must demonstrate that they are from a BAME background, that they have genuine financial need, and that they are committed to a career in PR. Applicants must be UK citizens that have been accepted to study a degree in PR at a partner university.
